We started 2024 with a record in container handling
The record monthly container throughput was driven by increasing transit and stable export flows.
"It is a challenge to maintain the high cargo performance and the leading position in Klaipėda Port achieved in 2023, but January has already been a record-breaking month for container cargo. We have achieved the best ever single-month container throughput result. In January, we handled 48,685 TEUs of containers, 43% more than in the same period in 2023," says our CEO Vaidotas Šileika.
