"In the first half of the year, we managed to keep our cargo performance stable as container import flows increased. The opening of the new ferry line TT-Line to Karslhamn was an additional boost to the cargo performance," says our CEO Vaidotas Šileika.

In January-June, our container terminal handled more than 239,000 TEUs of containers, which is 17% more than the 203,000 TEUs handled in the same period in 2022. "General cargo has increasingly returned to containers and has been transported by container vessels," says Šileika.

Ro-Ro volumes in the first six months amounted to 363 thousand tonnes, an increase of 11% compared to the same period in 2022 (325 thousand tonnes). According to our CEO, an additional ferry route to Karslhamn was launched at the end of April, and based on the interest of the business segment and passengers in this route, we see that there was a need for this route.

We handled 614 vessels at the terminals during the half year, which is 11% more than in the same period in 2022.
